Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our non-profit organization as a Program Manager. As the Program Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing and coordinating multiple programs aimed at serving youth and our community. The programs you will be responsible for include Connect Afterschool, Summer of STEAM, Connect Pantry, and Backpack programs.

The salary range for this position remains at $40,000 to $50,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Program Manager role is a full-time position that requires 40 hours of in-person service per week. The standard working schedule will align with the organization's operating hours. However, occasional events and activities may require the Program Manager to work outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends. These events could include community engagement activities, fundraisers, program launches, or special events related to the programs. Flexibility and willingness to accommodate these occasional events are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  1. Program Management: Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of various programs, ensuring they align with the organization's mission and goals.
  1. Team Leadership: Supervise and provide guidance to program coordinators and staff members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  1. Strategic Planning: Develop strategies and long-term plans for program growth and expansion, while continuously assessing and improving program effectiveness.
  1. Marketing and Outreach: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the programs and increase community engagement. This includes creating promotional materials, managing social media accounts, and coordinating outreach campaigns.
  1. Budgeting and Resource Management: Manage program budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and explore funding opportunities to support program sustainability.
  1. Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and volunteers to enhance program outreach and maximize impact.
  1. Reporting and Evaluation: Monitor program outcomes, collect data, and prepare reports to assess program performance and communicate results to stakeholders.
  1. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure program activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Maintain accurate program documentation and records.
  2. Training and Development: Provide training and professional development opportunities to program staff to enhance their skills and effectiveness in program delivery.

Responsibilities

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as non-profit management, social work, or education. Advanced degree preferred.
  1. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program management, preferably in a non-profit organization. Experience with afterschool programs or educational initiatives is highly desirable.
  1. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, delegate tasks effectively, and manage multiple priorities within established timelines.
  1. Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic plans, identifying opportunities for growth, and adapting to changing needs.
  1. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, and community members.
