Robin Aptt
Robin Aptt serves as an Executive Assistant for the Center for Internet Security (CIS). Robin has
been with CIS since July 2014 and was promoted to Executive Assistant in January 2018. In her role she supports the Finance, Legal and Project and the Information Security Office. In addition
to supporting those departments, she also supports the Facilities department assisting with the
CIS Home Office Store Orders and Interior Office Décor, the Questions Portal and handles the
CIS Sympathies requests and CIS Business Card portal, on behalf of the organization. Robin
serves as a We Care Ambassador since 2024 for CIS Cares department. Robin is an active team
member of the IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity and Equity) Alliance Committee in 2020 and served
as a cohort chair on the IDEA Alliance from 2022 – 2023. She is committed to ensuring everyone internally and externally receives outstanding customer service.
Robin’s hometown is currently Nassau, NY, where she has resided since 1995. Prior to living in
Nassau, NY, she lived in Colonie, NY. She graduated from Mercy High School which was
located in Albany, NY and majored in Business. Robin has been working in the Administrative
field since 1979, beginning with a Secretary position for the NYS Department of Motor
Vehicles.
Robin earned her Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) certification in May 2019, and
continues to renew her certification by achieving Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits. She
has completed two separate Dale Carnegie eight-week courses, Skills for Success and
Developing your Leadership Potential.
Robin serves as a Board Member and Secretary for the Connect Center for Youth since January
2023.
In addition to being an Executive Assistant, Robin enjoys spending time with her family and
especially watching her six granddaughters grow up. She enjoys cooking and creating her own
spin on dishes, as well as traveling and enjoying the beauty and sound of the ocean.
