The BackPack Program hosted regionally through the Regional Foodbank and run locally by the Connect Center is designed to meet the needs of food-insecure children on weekends when school meals aren’t available.
The BackPack program provides bags filled with food that ranges from snacks, protein filled meals, healthy fresh vegetables and fruit, and often frozen meat. Bags are packed each week by Connect Center staff and volunteers. On Friday afternoons, bags are then either discreetly distributed by school staff to participating students or delivered to their homes depending on parent preference.
If you would like to make a donation to the BackPack Program Closet, please email us at email@example.com or make a donation between 10-2 Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Connect Center's food pantry, be sure to mention that your donation is for the BackPack Program.
